The Bright Side of Depression
In general, depression sufferers don’t think their disorder is any fun at all. When the world is one large gray mass of indecision and hopelessness, the last thing they would say is they are having a great time. It isn’t a blast to oversleep, under-eat, and be miserable. The negative nature surrounding depression is linked to how it’s seen as a defect or a deficiency, suggesting it’s a malfunction of the human mind. However, recent research shows increasing evidence that depression can be a necessary and beneficial adaptation to dealing with major, complex issues that defy easy understanding.” This book focuses on the positive side of depression. That there is a teacher in our misery. Exploring these lessons can surely lead to an increased quality of life.
